"Knowledge carefully recorded is knowledge available in time of need. Spiritually sensitive information should be kept in a sacred place the communicates to the Lord how you treasure it. That practice enhances the likelihood of your receiving further light."--Richard G. Scott | |
Think how nice it is to be able to find something when you need it. LIKE REALLY NEED IT. When something is on "the tip of your tongue" and you can't seem to get it off, just think how nice it would be to be able to pull out that journal and just read it. That's what Elder Scott is telling us. He is telling us to record our promptings, our feelings, priesthood blessings, times we have felt the Spirit strongly, about the time that we knew the conference speaker was speaking just to us...etc. This will not only remind us of these times but to help us make sure we have lived up to them.
Take a journal to church, EFY, firesides, general conference, and record the prompting and feelings you have. You will someday be glad you did. Notice that last line, "That practice enhances the likelihood of your receiving further light." When you are recording these things you are more likely to receive more revelation, and knowledge.
So be one of those people. Write it down. Keep it in a safe spot, and read it often.
