Today I am going to write about a topic that’s very important to the youth of today, self-confidence. How many of you can confidently say that you believe in yourself in any circumstance? Not so many, I’d guess. Why is that? Society has a mold for everything. A mold for how much you should weigh the grades you should get, even down to the color of your hair for heaven sakes.
But why? Who decided these standards? Why do you have to act a certain way or be a certain person in order to fit in? Our image of perfection is so distorted, that it upsetting our high standards. It makes it very hard to be confident in ourselves when we tend to act much different than the rest of the world.
A quote that I truly love so much is “To Be in the World but Not of the World” - James A. Cullimore. I think that the best way to be confident in a world with such low values is to keep yours high. Even though sometimes it’s so hard, because everything around us is anything but pure and clean. But I can promise ALL of you, that if you work hard to keep yourself clean and your standards and values high.
Be confident in your choices and values! You are beautiful, smart, incredibly talented, and an amazing person. Never lower your standards. Stay confident! ♡
